Toggle DNS records without deleting them

A safer way to test DNS changes on Cloudflare.

May 8, 2026 · by Nadeem Siddique

Cloudflare has no way to disable a DNS record. To take one out of rotation you have to delete it — and remember its exact configuration to put it back.

Ampliflare adds a toggle. Flip a record off and its configuration is preserved; flip it back on in one click. Perfect for testing cutover, debugging mail, or temporarily parking a subdomain.

Why it matters

  • Test changes without losing the original record.
  • Roll back instantly if something breaks.
  • Keep a clean history of what changed and when.

See the DNS management docs for the full feature set.
